CERVAR: MAYBE IT IS BETTER WE DID NOT WIN A POINT, THE BOYS ARE YOUNG AND STILL HAVE A LOT TO LEARN
The regular press conference was held right after the match Brest Meshkov – HC Metalurg.
Lino Cervar: “Our team has been struggling with difficult times. Since the beginning of the season, 17 players have left HC Metalurg, and this has never happened neither in the Velux EHF Champions League nor in the SEHA-league. As you can see, we are playing with the young players, but I think that we deserved a point from the matches against HC PPD Zagreb and today against Brest Meshkov. On the other hand, maybe it is better we did not win it, because we are speaking of young players who must still work very hard. We are a bit afraid of Marko Neloski’s injury and will see tomorrow how serious it is. We have lost today’s match because of our inexperience, but I am satisfied with the game we showed on the court.”
Goran Krstevski: “We had a chance to win a point and even to win the match, but the opponent is much more experienced than us, so exactly that experience won today.”
Zeljko Babic: “Our opponent has shown a great game in the last few matches. One can feel Lino Cervar’s hand. Personally, I knew that we were going to have a tough match, but the most important thing is that we won. There were periods when my team played well and it is evident that we are again getting into a good shape.”
Dmitry Nikulenkau: “At one moment there was a fall in our game. However, the most important matches are still ahead of us, and on behalf of all players, I can assure you that everything will be all right. You need to be patient and not to worry.”
