HC METALURG 2 WAS DEFEATED BY RK PELISTER IN AVTOKOMANDA HALL
The match from the first round in the play-out phase was held this evening at Avtokomanda Hall where HC Metalurg 2 welcomed RK Pelister. This match had been postponed, because the players had duties with the junior national team on the handball tournament in Bugojno.
Unfortunately, the weakened squad of HC Metalurg 2 cannot be a proper rival, because most players have been transferred to the first team, so this evening they did not stand much chance against the vigorous team of RK Pelister.
The final score on the match was 30:24 (16:9) in favour of the team from Bitola, which was leading during the whole game. RK Pelister opened the match with a series of 3:0 to which HC Metalurg returned with two goals. Both teams were leading an equal fight during the first ten minutes until the score-board showed 5:6 for RK Pelister which in the following ten minutes made an incredible series of 6:0, for 5:12. We went on a half-time break with a negative of seven goals, 9:16.
At the beginning of the second half, we scored three goals in a row and reduced their advantage to 12:16. Then a fierce fight broke out on the court and it seemed that HC Metalurg 2 would win it. In the 49-th minute, we reduced their advantage to just one goal, 21:22, but then we showed a poor game in the following ten minutes, so RK Pelister used this opportunity to build a bigger advantage. The match finished with a result 24:30 in favour of the opponent.
