HC PPD ZAGREB RECEIVED A GENEROUS OFFER AND SOLD BOTH IVIC AND MIHIC
The Croatian champion published rather surprising information on its official web-site:
“With deep regret, we are informing you that we have sold Filip Ivic and Lovro Mihic to the Belarus club Brest Meshkov. The Belarus champion gave us this offer during the Final Four of the SEHA-league in Veszprem and it was so generous that we could not deckine it in these critical times when we fight for each kuna. We wish them a lot of success in their careers,” stated officials from HC PPD Zagreb.
Filip Ivic (23) is considered as one of the most talented young goalkeepers in Europe, and Lovro Mitic (21) is the heir of Manuel Strlek.
This is a big blow for Veselin Vujovic who hoped to save the whole team. This will also be a threat to HC PPD Zagreb’s ambitions for the Velux EHF Champions League, because the contract bounds both players to leave the club immediately and to start with the matches in the Belarus championship.
Otherwise, both players have signed two-year contracts with Brest Meshkov.
Brest Meshkov did not confirm this information on its official web-site, but considering that today is April 1 (April Fools’ Day), the Croatian champion probably made a joke, because Brest Meshkov, too, announced that the club signed a five-year contract with MKB-MVM Veszprem’s goalkeeper Roland Mikler.
